Where artists are writers, and writers are artists.

Table Conversation is a long-term arts space and workshop series popped up in Davis Square. Writing and art is for all of us. We feed our soul at the table. We share it in good company. It should stimulate the local economy and help connect our community.

Table Conversation offers regularly scheduled Workshops led by artists, writers, Organizers, and educators hungry to share what inspires them the most.

The table is open. There are no required titles, no required plans for your creative work To Attend. If you’re curious about a session, satiate your curiosity.

born out of

a desire for artistic substance; a desire for multidisciplinary artistry; a desire for community; a desire for differences; a desire for queerness; a desire for decolonized education*; a desire for living poetry**; a desire for desires; a desire for conversation.

*We define decolonized education as programming committed to cultivating liberated pathways of thought that are defiant to bias and supremacy mindsets. Practices should challenge current colonial structures (including but not limited to: racial supremacy, homophobia, binary genders, and ableism). We define decolonized education as accessible; finding educational opportunities and community outside of institutions perpetuating harm through policy or neutrality. We also define a decolonized education as one focused on changing and growing with the community. We aim to prioritize care and trauma-informed practices in our space. This is an imperfect practice, but one so full of possibility.

**We want our poetry (art) to be alive and built both from our interior worlds and the world around us.
